The story of the Thonet brothers begins in Boppard, where Michael Thonet worked as an artistic carpenter. Together with his five sons, he developed the groundbreaking technique of steam-bent round wood. This innovation led to the founding of the company "Gebrüder Thonet" in 1853, which later became known as Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH.

The GTV Collection - Tradition Meets Modernity

The current GTV collection combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. From the classic models to the Chair No.14, which was produced more than 50 million times between 1850 and 1930, each piece of furniture represents the highest quality and innovation.
